Vanessa Cullen is an Australian entrepreneur, strategist and leader. She is the CEO and Managing Director of Forward Thinking Design, an award winning restaurant, hospitality, retail design and project management studios. She is also the founder of a health and wellbeing social enterprise aimed at individual empowerment and community outreach/education - More Than Polycystic Kidney Disease.
As an expert communicator and business leader, Vanessa has been profiled in several business books, national print media, on radio, and on ABC News 24.
Vanessa is a trauma and chronic illness survivor and advocate. She is an Australian representative age group triathlete, Ambassador for PKD Australia.
Her passion for bike riding began from finding enjoyment in the spin classes she was taking at the gym. After designing a bicycle store, her personal trainer and bicycle shop client encouraged her to consider taking up triathlon.
Vanessa enjoys training for triathlons and also rides for fun. She enjoys both social and meditative aspects of riding. Loving the speed, the fitness, being outdoors and the fun, is what cycling is all about! She enjoys a peaceful ride in the morning at either Centennial Park, Parramatta Park or Sydney International Regatta Centre.
Some of Vanessa's achievements in the cycling world include representing Australia as an Age Group Sprint Triathlete in the World Championships in Chicago in 2015. Completing her first 100km ride on New Year's day 2015. And riding her longest ride to date last year and doing well in her first Half Ironman last year in Busselton WA.
