The Spring Cycle first ran in 1984.

The Spring Cycle brings together approximately 8,000 cyclists of all ages and abilities to participate in NSW’s largest family friendly recreational bike ride. The only child friendly, grassroots, community participation and accessible cycle in Australia.

Riders can take part in the 10km City Ride and 50km Classic Ride and experience Sydney like never before as this iconic event is still the only ride that goes over the Sydney Harbour Bridge, along the Cahill Expressway and through the CBD on closed roads.

In 2025, we’re proud to partner with Lifeline, one of Australia’s most recognised mental health organisations. Lifeline is experiencing record-breaking demand for crisis support, and funds raised by the Spring Cycle in 2025 will go towards supporting Lifeline’s crisis support and suicide prevention services across the country.
